| dc.description.abstract | The one-month field attachment two was carried out in accordance with the 2022/2024 one-month filed attachment objectives. This field attachment started in August 5th 2024 and ended in September 5th 2024. It was carried out In Buseesa Community Development Organization (BCDO) Which Is Located in Buseesa Trading Centre, Matale Sub-County, Kibaale District, Mid-western Uganda along Kakumiro-Kibaale Road. The intern worked closely with the farm manager and farm workers, Epicenter Manager, community members. The methods used were: visionary approach, and Participatory Action Research while the skills gained by the intern include skills on setting farm layout, construction of the farm structures, vegetables growing, fish farming, piggery, goats management, poultry rearing, Rabbits rearing, skills of managing biogas system, agro forestry, conflict resolution skills among the workers, identifying and planting different types of legume pastures and the key results created by the intern student include; improved sanitation by practising waste management at the farm, improved health by demonstrating the process of establishing sacks mountain gardens, cone garden and key-hole garden, improved health of the birds by discovering the herbal medicine that cures Newcastle disease and planting them, bringing back harmony among the farm workers through conflict resolution, improved nutrition among animals by establishing the garden for legume pastures, reduced flooding at the farm by levelling and pouring gravel on the compound, improved soil fertility by demonstrating the use of organic fertilizer, economic empowerment by facilitating visionary approach and shifting from problem solving to creative orientation. | en_US |
